Mallar Rakshit embarked on his musical journey at the
tender age of four, nurtured initially by his parents. His
evident potential led him to the guidance of the celebrated Sarod virtuoso, Padmabhushan Pandit
Buddhadev Dasgupta, under whom he trained at the
ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a senior research
scholar. Over time, Mallar has showcased his talent at
various esteemed concerts and conferences, frequently
performing alongside his respected mentor. His skill
and dedication have earned him significant acclaim,
both in India and internationally.
An accomplished mentor, composer, and arranger with over a decade of experience in both performance and teaching.
Demonstrates proficiency across various musical genres,
underpinned by a robust grasp of theoretical principles and
practical application. Committed to fostering performance skills while providing comprehensive instructions in all facets of music. Goal-oriented and driven, adept at developing curriculum content for Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) and Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) music initiatives. Presently, serving as a lecturer in the department of instrumental classical music at Rabindrabharati University.
